Paraguay spent twenty years discussing a carbon credit market. In 2023, legislation formalised it. In March 2026, the first real transaction was completed. The mechanism is tangible — rotational grazing stores carbon in soil and converts it into tradeable credits. Projections exceed $100 million per year within a decade.
